Dining, Shopping & Entertainment

Hungry for a slice of pie? Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana’s Neopolitan-inspired pizzas are the way to go for a bite of cheesy, saucy goodness. Margherita, sausage, and potato and onion pizzas are just a few of the signature specials on the menu.

Experience fine dining like no other at Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Located in the heart of Gaithersburg, this upscale steakhouse favorite is the go-to place for hand-cut portions of USDA Prime beef topped with a layer of buttery goodness and served on a hot plate.

Enjoy shopping with a view at Rio Lakefront, an open-air shopping mall with a mix of national retailers, boutiques, and restaurants located along a sparkling lake. When you’re not perusing store favorites like Barnes & Noble and Francesca’s Collections, take a spin on the lake with a paddleboat rental.

Things to Do

In Gaithersburg, there is plenty of fun things to do regardless of age. The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair offers a week of summer family fun with classic fair food, carnival games, rides, and highly-anticipated events inside the ground’s grandstand, including circus shows, monster truck rallies, and demolition derbies. Get into the holly jolly spirit with a drive-through of Seneca Creek State Park’s Winter Lights Festival, a popular event in November and December featuring over 400 illuminated lights for a night of holiday magic.

In between community events, have a picnic lunch at Bohrer Park’s sprawling greenspace and afterward grab a few companions for a game of friendly competition at the park’s miniature golf course. If that’s not enough, stroll through nearby Downtown Crown to access modernized parks and a host of eateries and shops.
